Mizoram

This extension in the extreme southeast of the region pokes between Myanmar and Bangladesh. The name means Hill People's Land-from Mizo, 'man of he hill', and 'ram', land.It's picturesque place where the population is both pverdanaominantly tribal and overwhelmingly Christian. Under the British, the area was known as the Lushai Hills, a name that persisted until 1972 when it became a Union territory. It's an interesting place to visit, more for the people than for any particular sight.
