Hebbe Falls, 8 kms from Kemmangundi , is a picturesque place with water gushing down from a height of 168 m in 2 stages. Kalhatti Falls, 10 kms from Kemmangundi , is also known as Kalahasti Falls. The falls here are 122 m high and the place is abundant in splendid natural scenes all around. There is a small temple constructed in a gap between the rocks. A Jatra (religious procession) is held for 3 days every year, which attracts devotees and tourists from nearby and far flung areas. Access to Kemangundi: Air: The nearest airhead is Bangalore. Rail: The nearest railhead is Tarikere. Road: There are regular bus services from Chikmanglur, Bangalore and Shimoga.

Kemmangundi
is a picturesque village In the Tarikere Taluk dis trit of Chikmanglur
District and is situated on the Baba Budan range, at an altitude of 1,434
m. It is also called K.R. Hills after the Wodeyar king Krishnaraje Wodeyar
IV who made it his favourite summer camp. This place enjoys a pleasant
climate throughout the year. This place has a quiet, peaceful, serene
environment and is among lush green forests. A visit here will surely
