Hyderabadi Culture
Category: - All India Travel Tourism > Culture > Andhra

Hyderabad is known for its
"Dakhani culture". It has been influenced by the Muslim rulers. Hyderabad
is considered to be a transit place for the North and South of India, since Sikhs,
Gujaratis, Marathis, Bengalis, and othershave made this place there home. Towards
the older part of the town there is concentration of Muslims and, the newer Secundrabad
has a more contemporary look with Anglo-Indians.
Hyderabadyi Biryani and Hyderabdai Pearls have admirers all over
the world. The pearl bangles, ear-rings, necklaces make women go ga-ga over
them. It's not only these two things that lists Hyderabad amongst cultural places
but many more things. The first and foremost being the warmth of the Hyderabadis.
The language is another interesting feature which is a mixture of Urdu, Hindi
and Telegu. The bollywood masteros have used it abundantly to make their 'Hindi
masala' movies more spicy. Another feature that bollywood picked upfrom here
, are the Irani Cafes, found in every by- lane of the town. If you miss
the 'CHAI' in these cafes, your visit to Hyderabad will be incomplete. And please
don't forget the 'chhota samosa' to go along with your CHAI.
The 'baitak' or the liquor party in Hyderabad is what every Hyderabadi
longs for and of course any wine lover is most welcome there. The Hyderabadis
are most proud of their "Bindaas" ( to hell with) attitude
and which all of us envy.
Despite their bindaas attitude , Hyderabad has turnedout to be the most hot
IT spot. The attempts of the CM Mr. Chandrababu Naidu has turned Hyderabad into
Cyberabad. Amongst technology, biryani and pearls, baitaks and chais, bindaaspan
and hard work Hyderabad's " dakhani culture" remains most amusing
and most amazing of all.
