Jharkhand is rich in mines, minerals, forestaries, wildlife and industries. Most of the area, covering 80% of the total area of the state, belongs to various tribes. The most popular tribal festival is Sarhul. Ranchi is the capital city of Jharkhand. Other cities of Jharkhand are Dhanbad city; rich in mines, Chhotanagpu; rich in minerals; Hazaribagh; is well known for it's wildlife; Jamshedpur and Bokaro; for industries. Jamshedpur is also the industrial capital of the state. Site of one of the Dwadash Jyotirlinga; Deoghar is a popular pilgrimage centre for Hindus.

Dhanbad :
The city of Dhanbad or the ‘Coal Capital’ of India is one of the most important industrial destinations of the country. Famous for its rich coal mines, attractive neighborhoods, technical institutions and research centers, this great mining town forms a major tourist delight.

Bokaro :
The city of Bokaro in Jharkhand is famously known as the ‘steel city’ and houses the biggest steel plant of the country. Welcome to this world of steel right on the bank of river Damodar.

Deoghar :
Deogarh is a small historical town, lies to the East of the newly formed state of Jharkhand. It is famous for the 17 th Century hilltop fortress, temples, forested landscapes and magnificent waterfalls.

Hazaribagh :
Set amidst picturesque surroundings dotted with lofty hills and dense forests, is the land of thousand gardens ‘Hazaribagh’. This scenic town boasts of two densely populated National Parks and presents excellent climatic condition throughout the year.

Netarhat :
Netarhat or ‘Queen of Chotanagpur’ is a beautiful hill-station towards the West of the newly formed state of Jharkhand. The place forms an ideal summer retreat amidst dense forests, cool breeze and offers breathtaking sunrise and sunset views.
